Privacy policy – Free bets
Readers who browse free-bet guides on Free bets share little personal data, and only the data an information site requires is processed. The UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 govern it. This policy discharges the duty to inform under Article 13 of the UK GDPR.
The controller
Whoever runs Free bets is the controller as defined in Article 4(7) UK GDPR. Name, address and e-mail are available at freebetsdailyuk.com, which is also the route for any question about personal data.
Data processed
On every page request the server records IP address, date and time, the address requested, the data volume sent, the referring page and browser type. Security and the detection of abuse are the purposes; after 90 days the entries are deleted or abbreviated so that no person can be identified. A reader who writes to the editors also provides a name, an e-mail address and the message, used just for the reply. With no reader accounts, deposits or bets on the site, payment details and identity documents are never collected.
Purposes and lawful bases
Logs, abuse protection and replies to messages rest on legitimate interests in running the site securely (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR). Non-essential cookies and audience measurement require consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR read with regulation 6 of PECR), and nothing runs before it is given. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, and earlier processing stays lawful (Article 7(3)). The site takes no automated decisions and does no profiling.
Recipients and international transfers
No data is sold. Processors acting on instructions provide hosting, content delivery and e-mail (Article 28 UK GDPR), and public authorities receive data when the law obliges. Data leaves the United Kingdom only for a country with adequacy regulations or under appropriate safeguards, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum (Article 44 onwards).
Rights of data subjects
The rights available are access (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction (Article 18), portability (Article 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21). A request gets an answer without undue delay and in any case within one month; Article 12(3) allows a further two months in complex cases.
How long data is kept
Server logs are kept 90 days at most. Correspondence stays until the matter is closed and for as long as defence against possible claims requires. Writing to the editors is voluntary, but a reply cannot be sent without the details.
Supervisory authority
The ICO is the supervisory authority. A person who considers that processing of their data infringes data protection law may complain to it (Article 77 UK GDPR).
